your car and walking to school : 271 pounds
Who doesn't love a good walk? If you do it twice a week for the academic year, you can save 271 pounds of carbon dioxide (assuming you live within 3 miles of school and your car gets 20 miles per gallon). Plus, you'll save $80 in gas and burn 104,000 calories.
